Here it is – the final instalment we’ve all been waiting for! After already finding dozens of fantastic wedding songs suitable for all parts of the day, we have a few more for you. It’s time for the top ten wedding songs as chosen by…well, us. Once again we’ve gone for a mix of genres and eras, and we hope that our Top 100 Wedding Songs includes something for everyone!

10. Love Affair – Everlasting Love

No, you don’t have déjà vu, we are reposting our number ten choice from our last instalment just because it is that good! Besides, what’s a Top 10 without a number 10?

9. Hot Chocolate – Every 1’s a Winner

A little bit funky, a little bit glam, there are so many Hot Chocolate songs that could have made this list but I settled on Every 1’s a Winner as a floor filler that will put a smile on everyone’s faces.

8. Bright Eyes – First Day of My Life

Some might not know this gorgeous little song from Bright Eyes, but I think it’s perfect for a wedding and it could be played as you walk down the aisle, as interim music, or even for a first dance. Lovely.

7. Whitney Houston – I Wanna Dance with Somebody

This is definitely one to break out once the party is in full swing! Get all the bridesmaids to kick off their heels and the dance floor will be filled in no time at all.

6. Buddy Holly – Dearest

This quirky and very romantic little number from Buddy Holly is perfect for those who like their music choices a little off the beaten track. First recorded in 1959, it saw an increase in popularity recently after being included on the soundtrack of indie romance Juno.

5. Sixpence None The Richer – Kiss Me

Whether you know this from the soundtrack of almost any rom/com or teen drama of the late 1990s, or simply because it’s a great song, Kiss Me is a terrific choice for a wedding.

4. Röyksopp – Happy Up Here

An up-to-date choice from Scandinavian dance duo Röyksopp, this one ticks all the boxes and has some very wedding-appropriate lyrics too:

‘You know I really like it / I know I’ll always be here / You know it makes my heart beat / You know I’m happy up here’

Now we’ve reached the crucial point of our list – the top three! We tried to agree on just one perfect wedding song, but it was impossible. Instead we chose three songs which we think sum up the best parts of the wedding day – complimenting the Bride, lots of dancing and fun, and the first dance.

3. Stevie Wonder – Isn’t She Lovely

Stevie says it all, doesn’t he? Perfect as a tribute to the Bride, her bridesmaids and the mothers of the Bride and Groom, Isn’t She Lovely is a wedding staple.

2. The Cast of Grease – Summer Nights

Now we know this isn’t You’re The One That I Want, or We Go Together, but the thought of the guests lined up on the dancefloor – boys opposite girls – dancing and singing to Summer Nights is utterly joyous!

1. Ellie Goulding – Your Song

‘How wonderful life is, when you’re in the world.’

First made popular by Elton John, then by Ewan McGreggor in the film Moulin Rouge, and most recently here by Ellie Goulding, this is a timeless classic that was made for a first dance. There won’t be a dry eye in the house!

So there you have it! Our list of Top 100 Wedding Songs is complete! We hope you have enjoyed it and that there is plenty included for everyone to enjoy.
