Like everyday fashion, wedding styles and trends change from year to year. 2017 looks to be an exciting year full of romantic floral details coupled with a sexy elegance of deep plunging necklines. We will be looking at the upcoming trends of wedding dresses, floral displays and colour palettes & designs.
Wedding Dresses
When it comes to experimentation, wedding dresses are a prime example. Being on trend may be the key focus for your big day but when it comes to your wedding dress, just because a certain style may be the must have, does not mean it will be the best suited to your shape. You can always draw from other trends like accessories and colour to keep fashion forward on your big day.
We will see the return of the bow, big and beautiful. Pantone colours, so think muted lilacs and dusky pinks. Along with deep plunge necklines or off the shoulder silhouettes. Sheer elements will be a big element, so having lots of flesh on display whilst still having a modest tone will be achieved by lots of embellishment and embroidery on translucent fabrics.
Floral Displays
No wedding would be right without flowers, but we will be seeing more floral decorations than ever. Not just your bouquets and table pieces, but flower chandeliers and flower ceiling hangings. With the rise of the flower farmer, we will be seeing ‘old fashioned’ flowers being given a new lease of life with their highly scented and frilly pink attributes.
Colour Palettes & Designs
This year saw blues, and bright lilacs but 2017 brings an array of pinks. From nearly there nude to deep ombre pink, this colour is going to be a major element of next years weddings. Mixed with dreamy muted hues and delicate 3D textures. Expect to see the odd touch of metallic to compliment the dusky tones to give a touch of elegance.
It may take a bit of getting used to but I'm sure we will learn to love the pink comeback.
